Welcome to the Refugio de Reyes Guesthouse!
Located in one of the finest neighborhoods in the city, the Refugio de Reyes Guesthouse is charming and safe. We offer our guests a relaxing environment and tranquility that will assure a pleasant experience.
The house was built in 1953 and is considered an architectural jewel of historical significance. The house is located in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods of Holguín and is conveniently located that is a 7-minutes walk from downtown and a block from immigration, which greatly facilitates any visa paperwork.
We offer three luxurious rooms for rent. One room is a apartment that occupies the third floor, with a spacious bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and terrace with great views of the city that is also ideal for sunbathing and resting. A 2th and 3th rooms are located on the first floor inside the main house in an agreeable area that is secluded by a garden of fruit trees, vines, ornamental plants, and exotic fishes. The rooms have air conditioning, hot and cold water, TV, DVD, refrigerator, and parking.
We provide privacy, comfort and excellent Cuban cuisine. We are available and happy to help you organize additional locally available services such as transportation, gymnasiums, and guided tours. Our goal is to provide you with excellent service and a home where you can relax.

THE PERFECT PLACE IN HOLGUIN!

A magical location very close to the city centre with a lovely garden, pool, extremely friendly hosts, great breakfast - what more can you ask for? we arrived really late because our flight had to be rescheduled due to a massive thunderstorm and were greeted enthusiastically by our hosts, who had informed themselves and knew that we were delayed.

We had a wonderful stay with david and sara in holguin. we were on a cycling trip and stayed our first and last nights here, and they kindly kept our bike cases for us while we were travelling. they arranged pickup from the airport, and everything was very well organised - sara even found maps of other cities for us as we forgot our guide books. the room was lovely with lots of small touches that we didn't see in other casa such as fresh flowers and a menu list with different meal options. there is a lovely garden for you to eat your meals and relax during the day. the food was amazing, with a huge selection of fruit at breakfast and very generous portions. the evening meals were also delicious and sara made a real effort to make more unusual specialities for us to try. david was also very generous in helping us to prepare our bikes for travel back to canada by providing cleaning supplies and a hose in the yard. we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them, and they would help us in any way to make our stay more enjoyable and smooth. we can't thank them enough or recommend this casa more highly. excellent!

This hostal, is not a hostel but a nice small guest house, a hidden gem in holguin. i stayed there for six days and the young managing owners are outstandingly skilful in taking an exceedingly good care of their guests’ needs from accommodation to meals, cleanliness and health are paramount to them. although they don’t have a deep-rooted background in hospitality business, they are enthusiasts who shine in their performance by any measure. they offer a relaxed and welcoming environment, and as a family run business they know the importance of comfort and fine details i am an ex-hotelier for 35 years and travelled the world; i couldn’t help but admire their honesty and sincerity in realising what a genuine hospitality is all about. their interest in botany has helped them a great deal in creating a beautifully relaxing back garden with a homely ambiance but a professional touch. they are situated in a prime location 10 minutes walk from the city centre or a 5 minutes ride by a tricycle rickshaw, “bicitaxi”. very competively priced and good value for your money; i wouldn’t hesitate to book again and recommend it very much to future guests. they provide accommodation, ensuring that you get all the necessities to make your stay comfortable. they have the pleasure of placing you at the centre of their attention.

Solamente he pasado una noche en holguin, por mala planificación de mi viaje por el este de cuba; pero el mejor lugar, la mejor comida, la mayor amplitud y la mejor atención me ha encantado, se suman muchas áreas verdes, mucha tranquilidad y además los anfitriones son excelentes en el trato y verdaderos profesionales de la cocina. todo esto era increible encontrarlo en el mismo centro de holguin. si vuelvo a cuba regreso vuestra casa sin dudas. saludos desde la argentina pepe y esther.
